App Terms of Use
Breathe First QuickBooks Integration
Last updated: 18 August 2026
1. What this application is
The Breathe First QuickBooks Integration (“the Application”) is private software operated by Breathe First for its own internal bookkeeping. It connects to the Breathe First QuickBooks Online company file through Intuit’s published Accounting API in order to review transactions, apply expense categories and VAT codes, and attach supporting invoices and receipts to those transactions.
The Application is not offered, sold, licensed or made available to the public, to customers, or to any third party.
2. Who may use it
Use is limited to Breathe First personnel and appointed advisers, such as the company’s accountant, acting on the company’s instructions. No other person is granted any right to access or use the Application.
3. Licence
Breathe First retains all rights in the Application. No licence, express or implied, is granted to any other party.
4. Data handling
The Application runs locally on Breathe First hardware. It does not operate as a hosted service and has no server component available over the internet.
Data accessed from QuickBooks Online is processed locally and is not transmitted to any third party, resold, or used for any purpose beyond the bookkeeping described in section 1. Authentication credentials issued by Intuit are stored locally on the operating machine and are not shared.
The Application’s access can be revoked at any time by disconnecting it from within QuickBooks Online. Personal data handled in the course of this processing is covered by the Breathe First privacy policy.
5. Changes to accounting records
The Application can modify accounting records: specifically the expense category and VAT code on a transaction, and the documents attached to it. Every such change requires explicit confirmation from an operator before it is made. The Application does not create, void or delete transactions, and does not initiate or process any payment.
Responsibility for the accuracy of the resulting records, and for any statutory return prepared from them, rests with Breathe First and its advisers.
6. No warranty
The Application is provided for internal use on an “as is” basis, without warranty of any kind. Breathe First accepts no liability to any third party arising from it.
7. Availability
Breathe First may modify, suspend or withdraw the Application at any time without notice.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
