Let's get you
set up
Two minutes here will get the most out of your Myo-Nozzle. Watch the quick fitting video, then learn the simple sipping technique that does the real work.
How to attach your Myo-Nozzle
A quick walkthrough of fitting the nozzle to your bottle, so you're ready to start straight away.
Fitting it to your bottle
Fit the straw
Push the straw firmly onto the base of the Myo-Nozzle until it sits snug. Trim the straw to length if it's too long for your bottle.
Attach to your bottle
Screw or push the nozzle assembly into your bottle lid so it seals cleanly. Check there are no gaps around the thread.
Check the seal
Give it a gentle test sip. You should feel a light, steady resistance as you draw water. That resistance is the training effect.
Use it daily, and work your tongue
The Myo-Nozzle works through repetition. The more consistently you use it, and the more deliberately you draw each sip, the faster you build the habit.
Every day, at least one bottle
Aim for a minimum of one full bottle of water through the nozzle each day. Daily use is what turns the movement into a habit your body keeps at rest and during sleep.
Work your tongue as you drink
Don't just suck passively. Actively use your tongue to draw the water up, taking 3 to 4 deliberate sips so you genuinely feel the tongue and throat muscles working with each one.
The feeling is the point. If you can feel your tongue and throat engaging on each sip, you're doing it right. If it feels effortless, slow down and draw more deliberately.
Keep the nozzle chew-free
The Myo-Nozzle is built for sipping, not chewing. By far the most common cause of a split nozzle is biting or chewing on it, most often with children. A quick habit check keeps yours working for the long run.
Sip, don't bite
Draw water up gently with your tongue and lips. The nozzle should never be clamped between the teeth or chewed. Biting is what causes it to split over time.
Supervise younger users
Children naturally chew on things. Keep an eye on little ones while they drink and remind them to sip, not bite, so the nozzle lasts.
Chew damage is not a manufacturing fault. A nozzle that has split from biting or chewing falls under normal wear and is not covered by the warranty. Looking after it well is the best way to keep it performing.

Common questions
How do I know I'm using the right level?
You want to feel a gentle resistance as you sip, enough to engage your tongue and throat, but not so much that it feels difficult. If a Level 1 nozzle feels too easy and you notice no resistance, you may be ready for Level 2. If Level 2 leaves you with strong fatigue, soreness or a pronounced gag reflex, drop back to Level 1. Building strength gradually is normal.
How often should I use it, and for how long?
Simply drink water through the Myo-Nozzle as you normally would. Adults should aim for 25 to 64 oz a day, children 15 to 30 oz a day. Like any muscle training the benefit fades if you stop, so treat it as a long-term daily habit. Once you reach your goal, adults can maintain with at least 25 oz twice a week, children with at least 15 oz daily.
When will I notice a difference?
Most people start to feel benefits after about a month of regular use. Everyone is different, some notice change sooner, some a little later. Consistency is the best predictor of progress, which usually builds over the first six months and is then maintained with continued weekly use.
Hardly any water comes through. What am I doing wrong?
Almost always this means you are pulling with your cheeks, as you would with a normal straw. The Myo-Nozzle is powered by your tongue, not your cheeks. Anchor your tongue tip to the spot just behind your front teeth and draw the water up with deliberate tongue movements. If flow still feels low, slow down and add a few more deliberate sips.
There is a small slit in the nozzle. Is it broken?
No. The Myo-Nozzle is designed with a small slit connecting the two openings, and that slit is what creates the resistance. It is completely normal and intentional. The only time it is a problem is if the slit has extended beyond those two openings, which can happen with biting or chewing. If that is the case, get in touch with us and we will help.
How do I clean it?
The nozzle and straw are top-rack dishwasher safe, though gentle handwashing is best. Use warm water, mild dish soap and the brush provided at least once a week. To sanitise, you can boil it, or rinse it in 70% isopropyl alcohol or white distilled vinegar, then always rinse with clean water and let it dry fully. Clean regularly rather than waiting until it looks dirty.
