We swallow around a thousand times a day. And when that swallow is done correctly, the thousand times a day applying that correct muscle force with the tongue keeps the tongue strong, scaffolds the airway, So it’s so important that we get the swallow correct. All of the forces of the swallow should be going up into the palate without any facial accessory needed.
