The Myo Munchee Mini is a compact oral device tailored for smaller mouths, supporting jaw health, enhancing muscle tone, and encouraging better breathing through natural chewing.
Product Summary
Myo Munchee Mini
Myo Munchee Mini: for 18 months to 4 years
The smallest device in the range, made for toddlers and pre-school children. At this age the jaw is growing faster than at any point later in childhood, and a few gentle minutes of chewing a day helps set lips-closed, nose-breathing habits before harder patterns take hold.
The Science
Why chewing training changes oral health
Most of us underuse the muscles that shape how we breathe, swallow and rest the jaw. Gentle, rhythmic chewing retrains these patterns, strengthening the lips, tongue, cheeks and jaw through simple daily movement.
Stronger oral muscles
Targets lips, cheeks, tongue and jaw at the same time, building the functional tone behind better swallowing, posture and breathing.
Encourages nasal breathing
Closed-lip chewing trains a tongue-up, lips-sealed posture. Over time this repatterns the default from mouth breathing to calm, efficient nasal breathing.
Gum massage and saliva flow
Gentle chewing stimulates gum tissue and promotes natural salivary cleansing, supporting oral hygiene without chemicals.
Reduces grinding and clenching
Builds balanced jaw muscle coordination rather than raw strength, helping ease the tension patterns behind bruxism and TMJ discomfort.
Better sleep quality
Stronger oral muscles during the day mean a more stable airway at night, reducing mouth breathing, snoring intensity and interrupted sleep.
Effortless daily routine
No batteries, no app, no complex setup. Just gentle chewing during a morning routine, a commute or before bed.
Is the Mini the right size?
This listing is the Mini, for 18 months to 4 years. Size is the biggest lever on whether the Munchee works, so start with the age guide and confirm with the inter-canine width.
| Size | Age guide | Inter-canine width |
|---|---|---|
| Mini this size | 18 months to 4 years | Use age guide |
| Junior | 4 to 8 years | 30 to 35 mm |
| Tween | 8 to 14 years | 33 to 37 mm |
| Adult | 14 years and over | 35 to 40 mm |
How to measure: take the straight-line distance between the tips of the two upper canine (pointy) teeth.
Fit check: The Mini is sized by age rather than by measurement, so there is no width to check. If your child is approaching 4 and the device looks tight across the front teeth, move up to the Junior.
Who the Mini is for
Toddlers who mouth breathe
Early years
Lips resting apart during the day, or sleeping with an open mouth. The Mini builds the lip seal that closes it.
Dummy and thumb habits
Habits
Chewing gives the mouth a different job to do, supporting the move away from sucking habits.
Growing jaws
Development
Gentle chewing stimulates the jaw at the age when it is developing fastest.
Under therapy
Clinical
A take-home device for toddlers already seeing a myofunctional therapist or paediatric dentist.

The Myo Munchee is one of the simplest tools I recommend to my patients. Whether it is a child who needs to build better oral habits or an adult struggling with snoring and mouth breathing, gentle daily chewing builds the muscle tone that underpins everything. I use it personally and with my own family.

❓ Mini FAQs
Is the Mini safe for a toddler?
Yes, when used as directed and with an adult present for the whole session. Never leave a child of this age unattended with the device, and speak to your dentist or therapist first if you have any dental concerns.
My child just chews it like a toy. Is that a problem?
At this age that is normal and still useful. The aim is gentle rhythmic chewing with the lips together. Sit with them, model closing the lips, and keep sessions short.
How do I know when to move up to Junior?
Around age 4, or sooner if the Mini looks small against the front teeth. The Junior covers 4 to 8 years.
How long before we notice a difference?
Many parents notice softer, quieter breathing and better lip seal within 2 to 4 weeks of consistent daily use.
