Hi, just a quick book review, um, for Buteyko Meets Dr. Mew by Patrick McKeown. I know quite a lot of the kids are into the mewing, which does include, um, tongue posture and correct breathing and how those things help to form your face. But if your child would like a little bit more information or perhaps they’re unconvinced, I think this could be the book for them because it has three-in-one.
It has teenagers self-help comic, which is a lovely comic strip thing, I think appropriate really from age about ten upwards. Uh, it also has some information for kids and teens about why nasal breathing and keeping your tongue up and your lips closed are important. And it also has a section for parents at the back, which has a lot of medical references and things. So I’d say that’s a really good book if you have a child that’s about to embark on a breathing or myofunctional journey, or maybe if they’re not quite yet convinced about why their parent keeps talking about these things.
