Who Fuzzle is for

Perfect for use at home, in the classroom, or during therapy sessions

Made for everyone supporting a child's speech sound development — at home, in the classroom, in the clinic.

🩺

Speech & Language Therapists

An age-appropriate alternative to traditional mouth models. Engages children faster and supports placement teaching for every speech sound therapy goal.

🏫

Teachers & early years

Brings phonics lessons to life. Works for whole-class teaching, small groups, and supporting children with speech and language delays in mainstream settings.

👨‍👩‍👧

Parents at home

Make daily speech practice fun and consistent. Turn 5 minutes of practice into something your child looks forward to.

Why Fuzzle works

Children learn speech sounds best when they can see how they're made

Articulation is invisible. Asking a child to "put your tongue behind your teeth" is abstract, and for many children (especially those with speech delays) it just doesn't click.

Fuzzle makes the invisible visible. Children watch his mouth and tongue move, copy what they see, and practise sounds through play instead of instruction.

  • Moveable mouth. Brings speech to life and motivates children to imitate the puppet for individual sounds.
  • Placement cue. A purple dot behind the top teeth gives children a concrete visual target for tongue positioning.
  • Adjustable tongue. Flexible and visual, demonstrating exact placement for tricky sounds like "L" and "R".
  • Soft & sensory-friendly. Works beautifully with neurodivergent and additional-needs children.

3

Practise through play

Use Fuzzle's mouth and tongue to model the sound. Just 5 minutes a day makes a difference.

💡 Tip from the SLT team

Children learn speech sounds best when practice feels like play. Don't drill. Let your child name Fuzzle, take him on adventures, and feed him imaginary snacks. The articulation practice slips in naturally alongside the fun.

In the wild

Kids can't get enough of Fuzzle ✨

From classrooms to therapy rooms to living-room floors, Fuzzle has a way of pulling children in. The cheeky orange face, soft texture, and chunky mouth make him irresistibly engaging, even for children who struggle to focus on traditional speech exercises.

Speech therapists, teachers and parents tell us the same thing again and again: kids who weren't interested in practice suddenly are.

The story behind The Speech Monsters

Meet Jenny Hillier: the SLT & mum who made The Speech Monsters happen

Jenny Hillier is a Senior Speech and Language Therapist, mum of two, and the founder of The Speech Monsters.

After years of using various props in clinical practice, and never quite finding one that did the job, Jenny saw the need for something more interactive, more visual, and more genuinely engaging for children working on their speech sounds and phonics. So she designed her own.

Every detail of the Speech Monsters was thoughtfully crafted with one goal in mind: to create an experience that is both engaging and impactful. The moveable mouth, the adjustable tongue, the purple placement cue behind the top teeth. None of it is decoration. Each feature exists because Jenny needed it in her therapy room and couldn't find it anywhere else.

The Speech Monsters have been such a helpful resource for many children in our care. Particularly any little ones who are experiencing a speech or language delay. The quality is excellent for the price point and we cannot believe how durable they are. A fantastic addition to any preschool or school, or a thoughtful and purposeful gift for any child struggling to communicate.
